Very happy with Eastern neck on my 1965 mk VI. Original neck has more complexity harmonically but eastern works great for funk, fusion . latin etc where power and very strong centered tone are needed. Straight ahead and ballads i go for the original.

In the end of your recording what you are trying to play is the first bars from the main theme of the famous ballet, Swan- lake from P. Tchajkowsky written in Russia some 150- years ago. Listen to it and play the whole 16- bars, 'cause its beautyful. You have a nice tone. What is the mouthpiece you are using?

I’m 35, I was studying bass at music college a bit long time ago. But few weeks ago I realized that I can’t live without playing music! And suddenly I bought an alto sax! I love it! But my heart tends to soprano! Now I’m thinking that I need a soprano too!

Physics question: why would the large chamber mouthpiece also be shorter? I'd think with a larger chamber you'd push in more, so you'd want the piece to be longer to compensate. Do you notice any difference in the intonation tendencies of the two mouthpieces?

Oddly my cheap alto sax I bought has me confused. Sound of the Keys don't line up with both sax apps on my cell phone. Says E flat but not getting that from it. No it's not a tenor. I'm confused

Hey, man! Are you using your filed down Otto Link on this one? I play on an Otto Link Super Tone Master 7* with filed down Rico Royal 2.5's. I absolutely love it, and can get up to the G an octave up and higher sometimes, but not consistently, and keep toying with filing it down as you showed, but really, REALLY don't wanna f**k it up, as my sound is just like I like it, but i know it should go higher.
